December can be rough. It’s cold, its grey, in Seattle it rains a lot and the few sunny days are crisp and icy. Instead of dwelling on gifts for major holidays, we’re going to concentrate of sunny days with tons of cars during our brand new 24 Days of December Sun posted once a day until the new year.

A few months back, I took part in the annual Run to the Sun event hosted by our favorite journalist group, the Northwest Automotive Press Association (NWAPA).

Run to the Sun is an amalgamation of powerful cars, drop tops, inspiring vistas and roads dwindling into the rear view. This year’s tour was held around the picturesque Mount Hood just east of Portland, Or.

During two days, journalists drove 22 cars of every kind and size around mountains and through deserts. From the peppy Mini to the powerful Viper, two spectrums of luxury from the Buick Cascada and the Rolls-Royce Dawn, bones to settle between the 86 and BRZ or the 124 Spider and the MX-5, and more.

To help warm your bones during this desolate time, we’re giving you 24 days of sun from our adventures at Run to the Sun 2016.

A bit about each of the vehicles with some gratuitously sunny car pics to make you yearn for summer weather.

At the end of it all, we’ll tell you our top picks out of the lot right before it comes time to start the new year.

Join us every day, including weekends, as we go on our first ever 24 Days of December Sun! We’re starting the 24 days with this intro and ending it with our top 5! Now here’s a gratuitous teaser!
