The Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 is one sweet-sounding sport coupe packing 400-hp and 35-lb.ft. of torque. With a crackle and a bark, this Iridium Blue beast was a pleasure to experience during Run to the Sun.

Under the hood is a 3.0L V6 twin turbo engine connected to a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and manual mode. Rev matching makes a nice bark when downshifting in sport mode, a crackle to delight the ears.

Accelerating is fun, decelerating is swift, and cornering crisp and precise. Infiniti has done a hell of a job making this larger coupe a sporty delight to drive on a sunny summer day.

The interior tantilizes with semi-aniline leather appointed power front seats. The leather-wrapped steering wheel feels good in the hands while briskly driving around apexes.

It has a 13-speaker Bose Performance sound system that we never turned on, adaptive cruise control that we never engaged, and voice recognition for calls and audio that we never needed.

That’s because the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 is exactly the kind of two-door mode of transportation needed for driving around Mt. Hood at Run to the Sun. It MSRPs for $51,300, but we had the added Driver Assistance Package and Premium Plus Package boosting the cost of this sports coupe to an MSRP of $56,705.
