The British are invading Saint Edwards State Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, as the Western Washington All British Field Meet (ABFM) car show and swap meet sets up shop for the day.

The day will be filled with live music, a new beer and wine garden, food and, of course, wonderful cars of British origin.

From Aston Martins to classic Morgans, there will be a little bit of something for everyone among the 450 to 500 registered vehicles. Not only will there be some to see, but around 40 to 50 cars will be for sale, too!

The ABFM is partnered with Food Lifeline to end hunger, the Boys and Girls club of America and Hagerty Insurance in involving America’s youth in automobiles, LeMay – America’s Car Museum, the Historic Vehicle Association and 18 local British Car Clubs.

Clubs include manufacturers such as Austin Healey, Bently, Jaguar, Jensen, Land Rover, Lotus, MG, Morris Minor, Minis (both classic and modern), Norton, Rolls Royce, Sunbeam/Rootes Group, Triumph (both motorcycles and cars) and TVR.

(Note, I’m especially looking forward to the latter in that list of big hitters.)

These clubs represent more than 2,000 local owners of British autos.

If names like that can’t lure you out, perhaps the beer or ice cream will be able to peak interests.

Either way, The Auto Reporter will enjoy a great day at Saint Edwards Park (in the rain?) meeting and greeting with the owners of British-made vehicles. Hope to see you there!
