There’s only two days remaining in Nissan’s efforts to help restore the National Parks. Nissan’s campaign, “Calling All TITANS”, ends on Feb. 8.

“We have seen that TITAN customers are the kind of people who want to get the job done and leave their world better than they found it,” said Jeremy Tucker, vice president, Marketing Communications and Media, Nissan North America, Inc.

During the fundraiser, Nissan will match any donation made to the National Park Foundation on a 2-to-1 basis (up to $200,000). Nissan’s corporate philanthropy directive aligns with what 78% of Americans believe—that companies must do more than just reap profits, they must be positive societal entities.

Donations to the National Park Foundation helps support, protect, and preserve America’s national park system. The publicly-owned and government-run lands are critically understaffed and underfunded, negatively impacting wildlife and visitors.

“Be it conservation of the outdoors, contributions to local charities or simple acts of kindness, there is a natural desire among pickup truck owners to take action when help is needed,” Tucker said.

While the campaign started in September, the timing is fortuitous. Many parks were damaged during the month-long government shutdown, and are recovering from destroyed environs, defaced property, human waste, and more.

Nissan has also partnered with Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross charities to help people overcome disasters. The company will donate a total of $1 million to each of the three partnered charities, along with volunteer opportunities for Nissan employees and dealerships.
